Youth arrested in connection with suspicious Polbeth fire

A 14-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with a fire that happened in Polbeth last Friday.

A newly installed woodland pathway that links the village with West Calder was set alight, causing extensive damage.  The incident happened around 1pm, in the area of Chapelton Drive. 

Enquiries are ongoing to trace others believed to be involved in the incident, and anyone with any information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131.
