Church bell stolen in Polbeth

They are appealing for witnesses after a church bell was stolen.
The metal ship's bell was taken from the inner court yard at Polbeth Harwood Church on Chapelton Drive.
The theft happened sometime between 12.30pm on Friday 22 and 10am on Saturday 23 July.
The bell is around 12 inches in height and looks like it is made of shiny brass.
It is estimated to be worth a three-figure sum of money, and is used every Sunday to mark the beginning of every church service.
A police spokesperson said: "We know whoever was responsible used a ladder to climb the outer wall at the main entrance, so we are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, and who may have seen something suspicious, to get in touch.
"This bell has been used at the church for the past four or five years, and will be sorely missed by the congregation for its sentimental value.”
